Garden Care:
Incorporate lots of well-rotted organic matter into the backfill when planting. Apply generous well rotted organic mulch in early spring and keep well-watered during periods of dry weather. Young foliage benefits from being protected from slug-damage in spring and you may need to stake flowering stems, particularly in windy areas. Cut flowering stems back after the summer flowering has finished to encourage a second flush of colour over the autumn and feed monthly during the summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser. Please Note: Many perennials go ‘dormant’ which, in some cases, means that there is little or no top growth apparent between November and March. If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in spring. In the dormant period, we may not have stocks of all varieties in all pot sizes and therefore reserve the right to supply 9cm pots instead of 1 or 2 litre plants and adjust the price down accordingly.
