Fuchsia
Fuchsia Mrs Popple
This is a bushy, upright shrub with showy flowers and a fast growth habit. It produces large, attractive, drooping red and dark purple flowers which appear repeatedly throughout the summer and well into the autumn. These are produced above a backdrop of elongated, dark green leaves, making it ideal for using as a specimen plant at the front of a sunny to partially shaded border. Although it’s unusually hardy for a large-flowered variety, some protection from cold, drying winds is still required and it should only be grown as a flowering hedge in sheltered areas. Any damaged caused by winter frosts is quickly revived in the spring.
