Spurge
Euphorbia martinii
Attractive spikes of open, lime-yellow flowers with purplish-red eyes and lovely, bright green bracts appear repeatedly from March to July. This is a handsome, evergreen spurge which forms a rounded, shrubby mound of narrow, red-stained, dark grey-green leaves with prominent, light-green midribs. Tolerant of salt-laden air and thriving in difficult conditions, it makes an excellent border plant for gardens near the coast and can be used to add a valuable splash of colour to herbaceous beds over the winter.

Garden Care:
We recommend that you wear gloves when handling spurges as the thick, white sap is a poisonous and potential irritant. Incorporate lots of well-rotted organic matter into the backfill when planting. Apply generous well rotted organic mulch in early spring and keep well-watered during periods of dry weather. Please Note: Many perennials go ‘dormant’ which, in some cases, means that there is little or no top growth apparent between November and March. If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in spring. In the dormant period, we may not have stocks of all varieties in all pot sizes and therefore reserve the right to supply 9cm pots instead of 2 litre and adjust the price accordingly.
