Heather
Erica carnea R.B. Cooke
An excellent, prostrate evergreen bush which forms a wide mat of handsome, spiny, mid- to dark green foliage that provides a perfect backdrop to the blooms. From winter to early spring it becomes clothed with masses of stunning, urn-shaped, pink flowers darkening throughout the season which are produced in lovely, ornamental clusters. Perfect for incorporating into group plantings to add some interest to the winter garden, it can also be used singularly in the border or rockery and combines particularly well with Erica Darleyensis Silberschmelze.
