Dianthus deltoides Flashing Lights
Brilliant, upward-facing, flashing, bright red blooms with deep, carmine-red centres and a slightly darker outer edge are borne singly on tiny stems, giving the impression the flowers are levitating above the foliage. This is a stunning, evergreen, mat-forming perennial with narrow, silvery-green, grass-like leaves that provide a lovely backdrop to the blooms. Ideal for flower beds, border edges, gravel and rock gardens, it also make an attractive groundcover plant when grown in large groups. It is a free-flowering variety with attractively serrated, frilled petals that looks stunning when grown over the top of low walls or rocks.

Please Note: Although all our perennials are advertised as being sold in 1 litre containers, they are sometimes stocked in 9cm pots instead (particularly during the winter). If you order perennials from us, we reserve the right to supply them in 9cm pots instead of 1 litre containers, at a price of £3.20 instead of £3.80. Between November and March many perennials go ‘dormant’ which, in some cases, means they are sold as a root, corm or bulb with no top growth. If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in the spring.
