Daphne
Daphne odora Aureomarginata
This is a wonderful, variegated evergreen shrub which is perfect for adding year-round colour and interest to your garden. Fabulously fragrant white flowers, edged bright pink, emerge from tight clusters of pink buds from December through to March. These have golden-yellow centres and are produced above splendid, dark green leaves with stunning, golden-yellow margins. An upright, Chinese variety of Daphne that’s ideal for the front of a sunny or partially shaded border.

Other Features:
All parts of the plant are harmful if eaten and contact with the sap may cause skin irritation. Spherical, red fruit follow the flowers.

Garden Care:
As the main soil requirement is humus, peat should be incorporated into the planting hole. Pruning is not normally required and hard pruning should be avoided. Damaged wood can be removed after flowering.
