Broom
Cytisus praecox Albus
This is a compact, deciduous shrub which produces an abundance of yellowish-white flowers which clothe the arching stems in late spring and early summer. It has long slender branches with tiny, trifoliate leaves and is ideal for growing in poor, starved soil. Stems which have borne blooms should be cut back to about half their length after flowering.
