Corkscrew Hazel
Corylus avellana Contorta
An unusual deciduous shrub that has oddly twisted stems which bear yellow catkins in the late winter months. Ideal for flower arrangements. Sharp-toothed, mid-green leaves. The twisted stems look well in Japanese type gardens offering an interesting shape/structure contrast.
