Clematis
Clematis Rouge Cardinal
This is a free-flowering cultivar that bears rounded blooms of up to 10cm in diameter. These are deep crimson and velvety with red-brown anthers – looking remarkably attractive in contrast with the light green foliage. It blooms in mid-summer to early autumn and flowers best in full sun, while also tolerating partial shade. Like all clematis it is ideal for covering a trellis or climbing through a neighbouring tree.
