False Cypress
Chamaecyparis obtusa Nana Gracilis
This is a slow-growing, dwarf evergreen conifer with an irregular, upright growth habit. It has dark green, scale-like leaves with obtuse tips and white lines on the undersides, forming a densely-branched, pyramidal shape. The slow growth rate means that the thick, glossy green, compacted foliage does not require pruning, making ‘Gracilis’ a great choice as a low maintenance addition to the rockery garden. Some protection from strong winds and cold winter weather is required.
