False Cypress
Chamaecyparis lawsoniana Minima Aurea
This is a dense, low-growing, mound-forming conifer with rich, golden-yellow foliage which is perfect for providing year-round colour and interest to the garden. There are small flecks of white throughout the plant, making it great for adding depth and colour to a mixed border or rock garden every season of the year. The soft, tightly packed foliage forms a rounded shape with a slightly conical apex, if kept trimmed makes excellent topiary for pots or planted along side a driveway or footpath. As it’s susceptible to a root disease in warm, humid conditions, it is important to site it in a cool, moist spot of the garden.
