Bowles Golden Sedge
Carex Elata Aurea
This is a stunning, evergreen grass which forms compact tufts of arching, narrow-bladed, bright yellow leaves with fine green variegation. It’s a highly ornamental variety producing dark brown flowers which contrast beautifully with the vibrant foliage between June and July. Perfect for adding colour and interest to shaded areas of the garden, it’s also ideal for growing as a marginal plant around a pond and looks particularly spectacular when combined with blue hostas. It’s taller than most varieties and will grow in shallow water.
