Peach-leaved Bellflower
Campanula punctata White Bells
A cottage garden favourite producing masses of large, pure white, cup-shaped blooms on long, slender, upright stalks between June and July. These have a nodding, papery appearance and are produced above an attractive mound of narrow, lance-shaped, bright green leaves. Perfect for gracing the edge of a border or rockery, the flowers look great when combined with purple-leaved grasses or allowed to dangle over short walls. Often referred to as the Versatile Bellflower, it is easy to care for and will thrive in any well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil.

Remove flowers as soon as they become faded to encourage a second flush of blooms. Applying a generous mulch of well-rotted garden compost around the base of the plant in spring should also help it to spring into life. Please Note: Many perennials go ‘dormant’ which, in some cases, means that there is little or no top growth apparent between November and March. If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in spring. In the dormant period, we may not have stocks of all varieties in all pot sizes and therefore reserve the right to supply 9cm pots instead of 1 or 2 litre plants and adjust the price down accordingly.
