Barberry
Berberis thunbergii Atropurpurea Nana
This is a small, spreading bush with ovate, deep purple leaves and attractive yellow flowers which appear in April. It is a deciduous variety of Japanese Barberry which takes on fantastic, intense red foliage colours before the leaves fall in the autumn. An excellent, dwarf shrub for using at the front of a shrub border, growing in a container or as a low hedge.
