Cruciferae
Aubrieta Purple Cascade
Stunning, rich purple flowers which smother the plant in a beautiful, bold display of luminous colour between March and May. This is a versatile, early flowering variety that combines well with early daffodils and wildflower tulips and can be used to great effect as a small-scale groundcover plant. It forms a handsome mat of semi-evergreen, grey-green foliage that looks great when planted in groups to cover sloping banks. Perfect for rockeries, walls, gravel gardens and containers, it will tolerate a wide range of conditions but is relatively short lived. We’d recommend cutting it back by half after flowering to keep it in check and induce a second flush of flowers in the autumn.

Remove dead and damaged stems on an annual basis. Please Note: Many perennials go ‘dormant’ which, in some cases, means that there is little or no top growth apparent between November and March. If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in spring. In the dormant period, we may not have stocks of all varieties in all pot sizes and therefore reserve the right to supply 9cm pots instead of 1 or 2 litre plants and adjust the price down accordingly.
