Aster
Aster Snow Cushion
Masses of sparkling, daisy-like, pure white flowers with long, narrow petals and attractive, rich golden-yellow centres form a perfectly-shaped dome from August to October. This is a durable, long-lived, dwarf perennial with fresh, elongated, mid-green leaves which is best planted in groups about 45cm apart. Invaluable in the hardy border, it is superb for adding colour to the garden during the autumn when many other plants have finished flowering for the season. It also looks stunning when grown in a container, tucked into a rock garden or used at the front of a border planting. We’d recommend spraying against powdery mildew once a year and incorporating lots of organic matter into the planting hole.

Garden Care:
It may need to be sprayed against powdery mildew one a year and benefits from having lots of organic matter incorporated into the planting hole. Keep well watered during periods of dry weather and lift / divide congested colonies in early spring if required. Please Note: Although all our perennials are advertised as being sold in 1 litre containers, they are sometimes stocked in 9cm pots instead (particularly during the winter). If you order perennials from us, we reserve the right to supply them in 9cm pots instead of 1 litre containers, at a price of £2.80 instead of £3.80. Between November and March many perennials go ‘dormant’ which, in some cases, means they are sold as a root, corm or bulb with no top growth. If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in the spring.
