Splendens Beach Thrift
Armeria Maritima Bloodstone
Compact, rounded heads of bright, rosy-red, saucer-shaped flowers on slender, upright stalks from April to June. This is a dependable, tuft-forming evergreen perennial forming a dense blanket of narrow, grass-like leaves which remain looking good all year round. Perfect for growing along walkways or incorporating into rock gardens and herbaceous borders, it also holds its shape well making it suitable for using in toughs or containers on the patio. A long-flowering, ornamental variety whose tolerance of salt-laden air makes it suitable for growing near the coast. We’d recommend pinching out faded flowers immediately to encourage a second flush of colour.

Remove dead, damaged and straggling stems on an annual basis. Please Note: Although all our perennials are advertised as being sold in 1 litre containers, they are sometimes stocked in 9cm pots instead (particularly during the winter). If you order perennials from us, we reserve the right to supply them in 9cm pots instead of 1 litre containers, at a price of £2.00 instead of £2.80. Between November and March many perennials go ‘dormant’ which, in some cases, means they are sold as a root, corm or bulb with no top growth. If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in the spring.
