Dragonfly Mix Columbine
Aquilegia Dragonfly

Masses of large, vibrant flowers in shades of blue, yellow, white, pink and red with yellow centres and long, star-shaped spurs that project out behind the blossoms. This is a strong-stemmed, clump-forming perennial with handsome, finely-divided blue-green foliage which is perfect for an informal or cottage garden environment. It is self-sowing and benefits from a generous mulch around the base of the plant in autumn to protect the roots over the winter. A beautiful, upright variety which looks excellent in a light woodland setting or herbaceous border.

Position: Full sun to partial shade

Soil: A well drained, fertile soil

Rate of Growth: Average

Flowering Period: April to June

Flower Colour: Rose pink, blue, yellow, white and crimson

Other Features: Ideal for incorporating into a woodland setting

Hardiness: Fully hardy

Garden Care: Remove flowering stems after the flowers have faded. Please Note: Although all our perennials are advertised as being sold in 1 litre containers, they are sometimes stocked in 9cm pots instead (particularly during the winter). If you order perennials from us, we reserve the right to supply them in 9cm pots instead of 1 litre containers, at a price of £2.80 instead of £3.80. Between November and March many perennials go ‘dormant’ which, in some cases, means they are sold as a root, corm or bulb with no top growth. If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in the spring.

Eventual Height:  60cm
