Apple Bush
Apple Spartan
This is a small, well-flavoured, dark red eating apple with crisp white flesh. It is a scab resistant variety whose fruit is firm and stores well for up to four months over the winter. Although the fruits are plentiful they tend to be quite small and may need to be thinned out heavily as they start to develop. Doing this allow the plant to concentrate its efforts on a small number of apples, therefore producing larger fruits. ‘Spartan’ is an easy to grow variety making it perfect for inexperienced gardeners who want to try their hands at growing a fruit tree.
