Japanese Anemone
Anemone Honorine
Lovely, symmetrically-formed, single pure white blooms with attractive, buttery-yellow centres are held on long, slender flowering stems from August to October. This is a magnificent, highly sought after, branching windflower which forms a dense clump of robust, deeply-divided, slightly bristled, dark green leaves. It has slightly ruffled petals which give the impression of even more colour and depth and is one of the few perennials that start to look their best in late summer and into the winter. Perfect for a dark corner, background nook or mixed planting, it also makes a great cut flower and can be used to add a lightness and softness to the perennial border. It benefits from being mulched with well-rotted garden compost in early spring and can be lifted and divided every few years in March if required.

It benefits from being mulched with well-rotted garden compost in early spring and can be lifted and divided in the spring every few years if required. Please Note: Although all our perennials are advertised as being sold in 1 litre containers, they are sometimes stocked in 9cm pots instead (particularly during the winter). If you order perennials from us, we reserve the right to supply them in 9cm pots instead of 1 litre containers, at a price of £2.00 instead of £2.80. Between November and March many perennials go ‘dormant’ which, in some cases, means they are sold as a root, corm or bulb with no top growth. If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in the spring.
