Snowy Mespilus
Amelanchier Lamarckii
This is a showy shrub/small tree that bears masses of wide white flowers throughout spring. It is a deciduous variety with leaves opening coppery-red, turning to soft green in summer and then to shades of red, orange and yellow in autumn.

If you wish to train this variety as a standard tree you should select the strongest straight stem and remove all of the laterals up to 1m from the ground in winter. If you wish to train it as a multi-stemmed tree you should cut the stems that are growing too close back to ground level.
