Allium schoenoprasum
This is an easy to grow, popular perennial herb which forms a neat tuft of long, edible, strap-like tubular leaves with a mild onion flavour. These are lightly scented and can be used as a garnish or chopped and eaten fresh. From July to August it is topped with numerous, attractive, ball-like heads of mauve flowers which are very attractive and make it perfect for under planting larger shrubs or small trees. Excellent for edging beds and paths, it’s also ideal for the gravel garden or a sunny, well-drained border and will attract bees and other pollinating insects into the garden. Winner of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden MeritCulinary UsesThe leaves can be used to flavour all kinds of food, particularly to enhance savoury dishes. The flowers are edible and make an attractive garnish

In the dormant period, we may not have stocks of all varieties in all pot sizes and therefore reserve the right to supply 9cm pots instead of 2 litre and adjust the price accordingly.
