Redwood is a very rare variety and is a bushy-headed, deciduous shrub/small tree. It has bright, coral-pink, young shoots in winter and palmate leaves which are orange-yellow in spring, green in summer and pink then yellow in autumn. It is fully frost hardy and prefers a position in a well-drained, fertile soil where full sun exposure is available. Can be kept at a reasonably small size if pruned annually but can also reach its maximum height and spread of 6 metres by 6 metres if left unpruned.Deciduous
