Ordering Plants Out of Season
Unlike some online nurseries
Jacksons will send out plants all through the year. Therefore plant heights may vary from time to time, dependent on the growing
season and the effects of winter which will also vary from species to species. Perennials,
some grasses and clematis for example, will be considerably smaller in winter and
early spring, indeed, in some plants there may be very little visible growth at
all due to dormancy. If you order some species therefore in winter and early spring,
they will have a strong root system but may not look as you may expect them to look
until they burst into life after dormancy in spring.

Pot/Plant
Sizes:
Please be aware that
the sizes of pot we grow our plants in
may vary from that
advertised on the website and is dependent
on plant/pot size available at the time of ordering. If you need to know the exact
size of the pot/plant please e mail our sales team prior to ordering otherwise your plant will be supplied in the
nearest available size.
Perennial Size & Condition :
Although some of our perennials are advertised as being sold in 1 litre containers,
they are sometimes stocked in 9cm pots instead (particularly during the winter).
If you order perennials from us, we reserve the right to supply them in 9cm pots
instead of 1 litre containers, at a price of £2.80 instead of £3.80. From November
to April, many perennials are ‘dormant’ and often show little or no top growth.
If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the
soil level when purchased but will burst into life in spring.
